The trends using this material has been growing fast for as long as 14 years. The trend using this material leads to the overuse of the material leads to the damage of the environment.

Now the material becomes rare and very expensive. As the Indonesian furniture manufacturers facing this problem, how should they survive? The answer now is many of local manufacturers in Indonesia use recycled material from old teak. This material is then converted to many designs of furniture. The question is: do the manufacturer consider this as their awareness of sustainable environment or just for profit taking goal??
